Daily Inspiration – Persistence

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
– Calvin Coolidge

Morning everyone!

What a weekend. It was beyond gorgeous outside and its the first weekend my family and I have been able to take advantage of it! BBQs, sangria, the sun, more sangria, great company, and a little bit more sangria… Ah! Amazing times!I let my blog post for yesterday slide because I don’t know when we’re going to have such amazing weather again (forecast for rain in the coming days…) so I needed to take full advantage. I promise to make it up this week!

Oh, and don’t worry people, I didn’t need to bust out my inner MacGyver this weekend. Bottle openers a plenty 🙂

But now that the week has started for me, it’s time to delve back in to my writing journey. It’s great to take a break, but you’ve got to be able to jump back on the horse. Technically I would have liked to write a bit both days, but most of the time I touched my novel, I was just fixing it up.

I got my hands on Scrivener this weekend and have been fiddling around with it and my novel to see how I feel about it. I see a lot of good things out of it, but I’m a little weird and nit-picky. We’ll see how I feel after I use up the 30 day trial.

Alright folks, I have plenty to say (still need to post some of my book for the Lucky 7, and I got ANOTHER nomination last night which I need to attend to…). You guys are amazing.

Now, off to my morning coffee!
