I woke up needing inspiration. My head was cloudy, my mind has this annoying hum playing in the background and my thoughts are jumbled. I figured it’s a case of the mid-week hump, and I need a bit of words to inspire me and help me move forward.
So, here are some of my favorite (sometimes over-killed) quotes to help me move forward through the haze. Maybe they’ll shine a light on your day as well.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet keep looking. Don’t settle.”
– Steve Jobs
“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
– George Eliot
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”
– Milton Berle
”Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ‘em.”
– William Shakespeare
”Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”
– Will Rogers
“All our dreams can come true – if we have enough courage to pursue them.”
– Walt Disney
“Everything you want should be yours; they type of work you want; the relationships you need; the social, mental and aesthetic stimulation that will make you happy and fulfilled; the money you require for the lifestyle that is appropriate to you; and any requirement that you may (or may not) have for achievement or service to others. If you don’t aim for it all, you’ll never get it all. To aim for it requires that you know what you want.”
– Richard Koch
And lastly, another Steve Jobs quote that makes me smile. I feel like he might have been talking about me.
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Hope these helped to brighten your day, no go! Enjoy the middle of the week!
